Seasons Change, But God Remains

As August fades and the air takes on that first hint of crispness, we start to notice the signs: shorter evenings, fields turning golden, and the last cookouts and ball games of summer. For some, it is a welcome change. For others, it is a reluctant goodbye to long days and warm nights.
The changing of seasons has a way of making us pause. It reminds us that life is a rhythm, not a straight line. That rhythm is God’s design. In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we read, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Summer has its purpose, just as autumn does.
As we wrap up these sun-soaked days, maybe the invitation is to be fully present, to thank God for the laughter, the sunsets, the unexpected moments of joy, and even the challenges that shaped us. Then, to look ahead with trust, knowing He has prepared the next season with just as much care.
Whether you step into fall with excitement or hold onto summer with both hands, remember this: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Seasons will shift, but His love never changes.
